Roof
products are designed to last, 20, 25,30,40, 50 years even a lifetime.
But are the other parts (flashings, underlayment, ventilation, etc.) going
to last as long?
Is the roof installed according to the manufactures specs for warranty
compliance?
Simple things such as nail placement can affect the shingle warranty and
performance.
Adequate ventilation is critical to the life and performance of Fiberglass
Asphalt Shingles. The key word is ADEQUATE.
Adequate means more that just "enough", it includes another word
"Function".
Ventilation must also work.
To work it has to be balanced .All those square vents you see on roofs do
nothing if they are not balanced. Balance is achieved with enough intake
and outlet vents.
